Granville Island Coffee® comes from single growing regions on the planet that ensure a consistency and uniqueness which only that region's soil, altitude and climate can produce.
We have focused on roasting single origin coffee because our belief that a bean's origin is not only important, but unrivaled. By emphasizing "origin" coffee, like wine, our customers can experience the taste characteristics and regional nuances of the world’s coffees.
Secondly, our customers can stay connected with their favorite roast as we update blogs relating to farming conditions, growing methods (organic), and fair or direct trade.
Granville Island Coffee has an advantage that some smaller roasters do not. Even though our commitment is to small batch roasting, because we buy large quantities of green bean, and can afford in-house QC, we can scrutinize more carefully our supply. More importantly, we can reject shipments where warranted. Whether our green bean comes from Peru or Guatemala, our customer must be ensured that the taste is consistent, and ultimately, that drinking Granville Island Coffee is an experience.
